Cost Analyst : Washington, D.C. Metro Area

BAE Systems is seeking Cost Analysts / Cost Estimators to join our team in support of our Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) customer. We provide critical support to the FAA in solving the challenges of the next generation of aviation across America and around the world.

The successful candidate will identify, analyze and monitor agency acquisitions and investment activities related to the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). You will support the FAA in conducting cost, schedule and fiscal risk analysis of FAA NextGen investments. The successful candidate will be familiar with the government acquisition process, have prior experience developing work breakdown structures, and organizing cost analysis content. System life-cycle cost estimating experience, strong math background, and working knowledge of cost estimating tools, such as ACE-IT, SEER PRICE, @Risk or Crystal Ball, etc. are also required. Prior experience working with the FAA or other federal agency is a plus. You should also have excellent oral and written communication skills and be a self-starter capable of working with a variety of FAA and contractor personnel.

The successful candidate for this position will quantitatively assess programs and projects and make sensible business recommendations for FAA capital investments.  This will include:  1. Conducting the functions of systems analysis concerned with program evaluations, cost, benefits, schedule and risk of FAA acquisition programs. 2. Conducting reviews and analyses of routine technological and/or programmatic requirements, specifications, and related documentation. 3. Preparing inputs for and participating in planning and status reviews.  Conducting briefings to senior management on evaluation methodology, findings and proposed recommendations.  4. Assisting in the review and analysis of technological or programmatic change documentation and providing recommendations. 5. Participating in the preparation of inputs for cost, schedule or technical projections.  6. Performing task level liaison and coordination with coworkers, supervisors, managers and customer representatives. Excellent oral and communications skills are essential.  The candidate must have strong spreadsheet modeling experience using Excel.  It is preferred the candidate have excellent quantitative skills and solid statistics experience.

 Multiple Financial Analysts : Washington, D.C. Metro area

The Candidates will need to have knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of financial management, including time value analysis, cash flow analysis and cost/benefit analysis.  You will classify monitor and summarize financial data for the preparation and submission of reports on a recurring basis. Additionally the candidate will need to perform a wide variety of financial planning and cost analyst duties associated with all aspects of the financial management process, e.g. financial planning, program baseline review, evaluation of capital asset acquisition plans, funding levels and funding sources, expenditure analysis/compliance, capitalization analysis and auditor response activity.

 This position also requires the development and maintenance of internal and management controls over automated accounting systems, subsystems and procedures to ensure the integrity and quality of financial data to meet the needs of organizational program and administrative operations to comply with the requirements of the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of transportation (DOT).

Additionally you will need to be familiar with the Government appropriation process.
